27th May 2013 Windsurfing: Broadhaven Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: F 3-6 Surf / Sea State: Waist high clean Air Temperature: 10 Sea Temperature: 10 Weather: Drizzle then monsoon Max Speed: Distance Covered: Broadhaven - waist high clean waves, rain not too bad, but appeared to be very little wind so rigged 5.7m Blacktip. Big mistake - strong gusts with tide dropping back beyond headland - 5.7 too much for me, couple of runs and rigged 5.3 Icon - much better - wind still manic in gusts and nothing in between, but caught a couple of waves. Came in for a sandwich and heavens opened and killed the wind. Then loads of surfers turned up - must have been doing a tour of the beaches and landed at Broadhaven. Half decent session - only a handful out - pretty cold in full winter gear - May 27th! |
